The study examined the impact of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), major depressive disorder (MDD), insomnia, and substance use disorders on people living with HIV.


The Trump Administration Wants To End The HIV Epidemic By 2030: What’s The Plan To Make It Happen?

Phase I of the plan covers the first 5-years, with a goal of 75% of infections being reduced. 57 priority jurisdictions in the U.S. have been identified using data from HIV diagnoses that occurred in 2016 and 2017. Phase II will take a broader approach, with efforts to implement resources across the nation, rather than focusing on specific regions. The Phase II goal is a 90% reduction in cases by 2030. Phase III, is a maintenance period, where ‘intensive case management’ will keep new infections at fewer than 3,000 per year. What is needed is specific detail on how the new initiative will achieve these Phase I, II and III goals.
